Coach Giesy graduated from Bristol High School in 2003 and Malone University in 2007. He played collegiate basketball at Malone University for three seasons. Following Malone, he taught twelve years as a 4th-8th grade teacher at Newton Falls and is now the High School Technology teacher at Bristol. He spent thirteen years as the head coach at Bristol, four years coaching the Bristol Junior High Program, and one year as the varsity assistant under Nathan Kish at Lordstown. In his 13 years at the helm, Coach Giesy led the Panthers to a win percentage of 78%, 11 league titles, 10 sectional championships, 3 district runner-ups, 2 district championships, and an undefeated season.
Reese Leone
Coach Leone graduated from West Branch High School in 2020 and Westminster College in 2024. He played collegiate basketball for four seasons at Westminster. Coach Leone is now heading into his second season as a grad assistant at Ohio Dominican University under Coach Casey Kaufman. Reese finished his playing career at West Branch as the schools all time leading scorer and was a four-year starter at Westminster College.
Mark Giesy
Coach Giesy graduated from Bristol High school in 1979. He is currently the JV basketball coach and technology teacher at South Range High School. Mark spent 7 years coaching the South Range 8th grade boy's basketball team under John Cullen. At South Range, Mark led the Raiders to five league championships, five Tournament Championships and one runner-up. Previously, Mark coached junior high basketball at Bristol for three years under Dave Majick and John Hippley. A few years later he served as the head coach at Bristol High School for three seasons.
Jeff Thompson
Coach Thompson graduated from Champion High School in 1982. He is a retired teacher from Bristol High School where he taught for over 30 years. He started his head coaching days at Bristol where he led the Lady Panthers for 10 seasons finishing with 145 wins, the most wins in Bristol coaching history. After leading the Panthers to a Regional Final, District Final, and a League Championship, he then took over the Lady Flashes at his alma mater. He coached at Champion for 16 years, winning 2 league championships and taking them to a District Championship game. Coach Thompson has surpassed 300 wins as a varsity head coach. Coach Thompson is currently the boys varsity basketball coach at Bristol.
